It's been almost a month since I became Mrs., and I still can't believe how perfect our wedding day was. From the moment I woke up to the last dance of the evening, everything exceeded my wildest dreams.

Today I'm sharing Part I of our wedding story—the planning, the details, and all the special moments that made our day unforgettable.

The Planning Process

We had about 10 months to plan our wedding, which sounds like a lot but went by in a flash. I quickly learned that wedding planning is equal parts exciting and overwhelming, but having a clear vision from the start really helped.

The Venue

Finding the perfect venue was our top priority. We wanted somewhere romantic and timeless, with great natural light for photos. The moment we walked into our venue, we both knew it was "the one."

The Dress

Choosing my wedding dress was one of the most emotional parts of the planning process. I tried on over 20 dresses before finding "the one." When I put it on, I immediately started crying—I knew this was it.

The Details

We wanted our wedding to feel personal and intimate, so we incorporated special touches throughout:

• Hand-written vows that made everyone cry
• A signature cocktail named after our dog
• Personalized escort cards with photos from our relationship
• A playlist of songs that were meaningful to us
• Favors from our favorite local bakery

The Morning Of

I woke up surprisingly calm on our wedding day. I had breakfast with my bridesmaids, and we all got ready together while sipping champagne and listening to music. It was such a special, relaxed morning.

First Look

We decided to do a first look before the ceremony, and it was the best decision. It gave us a private moment to see each other for the first time, and it helped calm both of our nerves before walking down the aisle.
